Combined Microanastomosis and Endovascular Workshop
Part I - Microanastomosis Workshop
This hands-on workshop is designed for neurosurgery trainees seeking to master microvascular anastomosis. Participants will learn end‑to‑end and end‑to‑side anastomosis techniques on simulation models under magnification, with individualized feedback on suture placement, knot tying, and vessel handling. Ideal for residents and fellows preparing for bypass procedures or complex neurovascular surgeries. Limited seats ensure high instructor-to-trainee ratio. No prior microsurgical experience required. Register to advance your operative precision and confidence.
Supervisor: Prof Xu Bin
Chief of Workshop: Prof Atsushi Saito
International Faculty: Prof Hidehito Kimura
Local Faculty: Dr. Samuel Lam
Part II - Endovascular Workshop
This hands-on workshop is designed for young neurosurgeons seeking to integrate endovascular skills into their clinical practice. Through a combination of high-fidelity simulation, case-based discussions, and expert-led demonstrations, participants will explore core techniques including coil embolization of aneurysms, mechanical thrombectomy for acute stroke, balloon/ stent-assisted remodeling, and intra-saccular devices. The session emphasizes practical decision-making, complication management, and the synergistic use of microsurgical and endovascular approaches. Ideal for trainees and early-career neurosurgeons aiming to build confidence in the angiosuite.
Chief Faculty: Prof: Wong Ho FaiLocal Faculty: Dr. Poon Tak Lap, Dr. Norren Chan
Price: USD: 100
Hands-on Quota: 12
Endoscopic Skull Base Workshop
This hands-on workshop is intended for surgeons and trainees interested in expanding their skills in endoscopic skull base surgery. Participants will receive core anatomical demonstration and theoretical interpretation of transorbital and transnasal skull base approaches. Focus on key landmarks, surgical corridors, neurovascular relationships, and anatomical pitfalls of endoscopic orbital and endonasal approaches. There would be supervised practical training on high-fidelity anatomical models. Participants practice step-by-step procedural techniques, including bone drilling, corridor exposure, and micro-dissection simulation of transorbital and transnasal surgical approaches under faculty guidance. Participants would be able to interact with distinguished faculty through interactive case discussion, technical troubleshooting, and an open Q&A session for operative difficulties. Faculty summarize core operative principles, key techniques, safety strategies, and learning takeaways of the workshop.
Chief of Workshop (Transorbital): Prof. Calvin Mak
Chief of Workshop (Endonasal): Prof Kenichi Oyama

Endoscopic Clot Evacuation and Flexible Endoscopy Workshop
This hands-on workshop offers young neurosurgeons cutting-edge training in minimally invasive intracerebral hemorrhage management. Participants will master rigid and flexible endoscopic techniques for precise clot evacuation, minimizing cortical trauma. Expert faculty guide you through simulated cases, from entry planning to hemostasis and real-time navigation. Learn to leverage flexible scopes for deep-seated hematomas and ventricular access. Enhance your surgical armamentarium with practical tips, complication avoidance, and instrument handling. Limited seats ensure personalized coaching. Elevate your emergency stroke care skills and join the future of endoscopy—reserve your place today.

Local Faculty: Dr. Ben NG, Dr. Xu Xinliang
Price: USD: 65
ands-on Quota: 10
SEEG Workshop
Workshop: Mastering SEEG — From Localization to Planning
Objective: To equip young neurosurgeons with the practical skills needed to confidently conceptualize and plan a safe SEEG implantation.
Stereoelectroencephalography (SEEG) is a vital tool in modern epilepsy surgery. Designed specifically for the next generation of neurosurgeons, this hands-on workshop bridges the gap between clinical theory and the operating room through three practical sessions:
Lecture on Seizure Localization: Mapping clinical semiology and EEG data to identify the epileptogenic zone.
Case Discussion & SEEG Strategy: Analyzing real-world cases to formulate patient-specific hypotheses.
Hands-On Trajectory Planning: Utilizing advanced software (such as BrainLab Elements and Medtronic S8) to design safe stereotactic trajectories and navigate vascular corridors.
Internation Faculty: Prof Shunsuke Nakae
Local Faculty: Dr. Poon Tak Lap, Dr. Michael See
Price: USD: 30
Hands-on Quota: 12
Open Skull Base Workshop
This hands-on workshop is designed for young neurosurgeons aiming to master the core principles of open skull base surgery. Participants will explore key approaches including frontotemporal orbitozygomatic, retrosigmoid, far lateral, and anterior/middle fossa access routes. Emphasis is placed on high-speed drilling, dural opening techniques, neurovascular mobilization, and watertight closure. Through expert-led dissection and case-based instruction, attendees will learn to balance exposure with minimal brain retraction while managing complex pathologies such as meningiomas, schwannomas, and skull base malignancies. Ideal for trainees and early-career neurosurgeons seeking to refine their microsurgical anatomy and expand their operative repertoire.
Chief of Workshop: Prof. Kentero Watanabe
International Faculty: Prof Dai Ha Duong, Prof. Li, Ming Chor
Local Faculty: Dr. Caspar Chu
